Photography

Taking photographs is one of my favorite activities. During my undergraduate work at the University of Toledo, one of my majors was in Studio Art with a concentration in Photography. The photography program concentrated on using photography as an art form—like drawing or painting would be. I really enjoyed my training there, but I never really pursued a career in photography. I did work briefly at a regional photography studio between graduation and my return to grad school, but that was as far as I went with any professional photography.

But, I always remained interested in photography, and I take my camera most everywhere I go—save for the routine, day-to-day locations. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do, and I really enjoy taking pictures of the places I visit and documenting the trips. I also generally take my camera to birthdays and holidays.

I have a couple places online where I share my photographs. Some years ago, I started hosting photographs on my own photography website, but I haven’t updated it recently. I generally use the site to host more artistic photographs, and I should probably go ahead and add some more recent photos to the website sometime.
