Meet Torey

Hello, and let me tell you a little bit about myself. I’m currently a doctoral student at the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio U.S.A. I’m studying in the department of Curriculum & Instruction at the College of Education. My focus is on Educational Media, which is concentrated both on the use of technology to promote learning and a combination of instructional design and human performance technologies. I am also very interested in my minor area, Research and Measurement—in particular, Rasch Measurement.

During my time in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, I’ve also had great experiences working as Graduate Assistant. During my first three years, I taught sections of Technology and Multimedia in Educational Environments. I had great experience working with students and guiding them to develop skills in using technology to promote learning. Beginning last year and continuing this year, I am conducting research with my advisor, which has provided opportunities for presenting at conferences and publishing.
